The Vérba ritual

A candle is never just a flame.

Lighting a Vérba is the moment you pull out of the noise — the tabs, the notifications, the minor urgencies — and land back into your own breath. A warm flame. A soft wooden crackle. A scent that opens like a room you've been missing.

Why wooden wicks

A cleaner, calmer, more beautiful burn.

We chose wooden wicks for a reason — and it wasn't nostalgia. They burn slower and more evenly than cotton, release fragrance with more depth, and crackle softly like a small fireplace. Ours are FSC-certified and free from lead, zinc, and harmful chemicals.

WHAT A VÉRBA GIVES YOU

100% Natural

FSC-certified wood. Free from lead and zinc.

Clean burning

No toxins. Fresh indoor air throughout the burn.

Fragrance throw

A slower, even burn diffuses scent across the room.

Gentle crackling

The sound of a small fireplace in the corner of your day.

The first burn

Set the memory of your candle.

The very first time you light a Vérba, give it a full 1–2 hours. Let the wax melt all the way across the surface, edge to edge. Skip it, and the wax will tunnel. Honour it, and every burn from then on is even, full, and generous.

HOW TO USE YOUR CANDLE

Full melt pool

First burn 1–2 hours. Let wax melt edge to edge.

Trim to 3 mm

Trim the wooden wick before every burn for a clean flame.

Level surface

Burn on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts.

Keep it clean

Wax free of debris, wick trimmings, and matches.

Max 3–4 hours

Never burn longer in one sitting. Let it rest.

Stop at 1 cm

Stop burning when about 1 cm of wax remains.

Safety first

Never leave a flame unattended.

Keep away from children, pets, and anything that can catch fire. Extinguish with a snuffer — never use water. A candle you light should be a candle you can trust.
