Find Vérba at the One of a Kind Christmas Show 2026 in Toronto

For most of the year, the only way to meet Vérba is through a screen — or on a single shelf in Whistler. A candle is the one thing in a home you cannot judge from a photograph. You have to lean in and breathe.

This December, you can. Vérba will be at the One of a Kind Christmas Show at the Enercare Centre in Toronto — all six scents, open and lit, the full collection within arm's reach.

What you'll find at the booth

The booth is built the way the collection is: one side white, one side black. Two moods, one home.

• White — Comfort. Cinnamon Hug, Cozy Neroli, Soft Bound. Warmth, softness, coming home to yourself.
• Black — Desire. Unleashed Saffron, Oud Péché, Sweet Tobacco. Depth, smoke, a beautiful secret.
• Both sizes. The 5.5 oz single wick and the 14.1 oz three-wick — the one that fills an open-plan room.
• The Discovery Set. Six minis, three white and three black — for when you can't decide, or for someone whose taste you don't know yet.
• A limited edition, poured only for the show. Small batch. When it's gone, it's gone.

Why it's worth the trip

One of a Kind is one of the few places left where the person who made the thing is the person standing behind the table. Every Vérba candle is poured by hand in our Toronto studio — coconut–apricot wax, an FSC-certified wooden wick, a vessel we cast ourselves. Ask anything. How long it burns (up to 55 hours for the 5.5 oz). Why the wick crackles. Which scent is strongest. (Cinnamon Hug. It surprises people.)

How to shop the show well

• Smell in pairs. One white, one black. Most people know within two breaths which side they belong to — and are often surprised.
• Smell the wax cold, then lit. A good niche candle changes when it burns. We'll have both.
• Make the list before you come. The host, the colleague, the sister who has everything. Each candle already comes as a gift set, so a list of five takes ten minutes.
• Go on a weekday if you can. Weekends are the busiest days of the show.
