Hi, I'm Kate — the founder and the nose behind Vérba. I spent fifteen years living inside the beauty industry — not observing it, but fully immersed in it. And through all of it, one thing always mattered most to me: the scent.
Fifteen years in beauty
I saw it truthfully, from every angle.
Beauty studios, backstage spaces, professional environments. Millions of cosmetic brands — face, body, hair. Thousands of exhibitions, masterclasses, private launches. Endless samples, rare formulas, unexpected textures. I identified creams, serums, even lipsticks by how they smelled. Those moments of "I didn't expect this scent here" became my curiosity, my fascination, my passion.
A nose that grew with me
Sensitivity isn't a quirk. It's a gift.
I had an unusually strong sense of smell since childhood — I noticed perfume trails, spices in the air, the scent of fabrics, even the mood of a room. Noses train themselves like a muscle. Over decades, mine became sharper, deeper, wiser. And when you move between countries, your senses expand again. New people, new air, new architecture shift your internal palette. That's when I finally understood — my nose is the foundation of Vérba.
